Review of The Social Network (2010) by Mick V — 23 Jan 2014
Best film of 2010, The Social Network has a cool style completely it's own. This is the film of our generation and I have never seen a film that applied more to present day then this film. And yet, I don't believe this film will get outdated.
When I first heard of this film, I thought it sounded quite stupid. A Facebook movie? Has Hollywood run out of ideas? No. The Social Network is not a movie about Facebook. It's focus is more on the people starting up the business.
It's about their dreams and desires and the affect it has on their friendship. This film could have been about any company so if the notion of a "Facebook movie" is what's turning you away from this film, it shouldn't.
This film is just too great to be ignored.
