Review of The Social Network (2010) by Vadim D — 14 Jun 2014
This film lives up to the hype. It's thoughtful and compelling just as it is entertaining. The script, written by Sorkin (predictable, but still one of the best and smartest in the business) is enhanced by the flashback narrative structure.
Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, and Armie Hammer are all captivating on screen along with the rest of the cast. The memorable score is done by Trent Reznor (who is fastly becoming one of the best film composers).
But it is all held together by the masterful hand and eye of David Fincher, who always adds his master touch to everything he is involved with. This is one of the standout films of the new decade.
