Review of The Social Network (2010) by Anna B — 24 May 2015
As usual, Fincher's direction is exquisite, and as usual, the story is not very interesting. I got to the end and literally thought, "Oh, that's it?" The perils of recent-history non-fiction I suppose.
The Winklevoss twins are an amazing technical achievement; I thought the whole time it was just Armie Hammer (in an almost inappropriately charismatic performance) acting against himself. I never would have guessed there was face-swapping involved, and I'm usually very sensitive to that kind of thing.
