Review of The Social Network (2010) by Alec L — 23 Dec 2015
Possibly a modern classic and probably Fincher's best work, The Social Network is an excellent tale that is vital, for better or worse, for its times. Based on Aaron Sorkin's most tolerable script, mainly because the constant rapid fire dialogue is brought under control by Fincher's steady hand and Trent Reznor's impeccable score, this film will entertain and make you think.
Unique in its charms and its ugliness and a statement on friendship and ambition in 21st century America, The Social Network triumphs in every aspect of big studio filmmaking.
