With great stars like Ava Gardner, Gregory Peck and Susan Hayward, a screenplay based on the works of Ernest Hemingway and a story set in Africa, France and Spain, one would expect much more from this film but unfortunately it falls short.
However it's worth seeing for the impressive performances by Gardner and Hayward.
