Review of The Snowman (2017) by Thiago C — 20 Nov 2017
Tomas Alfredson tries to make Jo Nesbø's best-seller an intense coldish detective thriller such the ones inspired by Stieg Larsson's books and the Norwegian locations really help in this stiuation.
However, despite its vouyerism moments framing the houses' windows and the people inside them, the story takes all its genre's clichés resulting in quite a previsible plot which tried to be a Vinterberg's low-paced flick but full of typical Hollywood script breakdown and editing.
