Review of The Smurfs (2011) by Maybelline T — 30 Apr 2013

I wouldn't say they ruined a classic cartoon because they put some sort of effort into production. But the humor was so off the mark I couldn't help but cringe when jokes were told. The story was so bland and predictable that it made the whole film not worth the while of a viewing.

Ultimately it could have been worse...but not much. Only thing it had going for it was it's appeal to little children who might somehow be fans of the smurfs. Unfortunate for the talented voice cast.
