Review of The Smurfs (2011) by Marco C — 15 Apr 2012
As you might think, The Smurfs is not a very good movie. The first third of the movie is absolutely horrendous. Unlike most movies, the middle third of the movie is the most interesting. That's where Neil Patrick Harris comes to shine.
To be honest, any part with any actual Smurfs is not very interesting. However, any part with Gargamel is almost unwatchable. I guess that's why I enjoyed the middle of the movie so much. Gargamel was hardly in those parts to ruin the movie.
In the end, I would only recommend this movie to an infant.
