Review of The Smurfs (2011) by Nico B — 03 Aug 2013
The Smurfs is still fun for kids, the Smurfs are still cartoons, and Hank Azaria does an amazing job as the evil wizard Gargamel. Unfortunately it isn't enough to save the movie from being overshadowed with lame jokes, puns, and one-liners, plus there's really not much of a point in having them in New York, so this Smurfs adventure is definitely less magical than their original cartoons.
