This movie was not NEARLY as bad at the critics tried to make it out to be. Is it a kids movie with some cheesy stuff? Of course. But is it also a good time with a few laughs for both kids and adults? Yes it is.
And for people who thought it didn't have a story....how could you miss the whole, love your family members no matter what theme of the WHOLE movie? Lord knows I hate it when a movie tries to teach my child to go ahead and love me even though I'm not her birth father.
It's a horrible thing to try and teach the kids of today who are growing up more and more in divorced families. So relax critics that Hackus is like Hodor from Game of Thrones and only says a couple of things over and over, and also get mad because the smurfs say smurf over and over like it wasn't the way it's been since the beginning of the smurfs creation and go and enjoy a decent to good summer kids movie and not review it like it's supposed to be The Shawshank Redemption or something.
