Smurfs 2, despite all the crazy stuff and silly antics happening, is a very boring movie. The plot is just really scaffolding for lots of CGI chases and excuses to swear because saying 'smurf' instead of a swear word in every smurfing scene is just hilarious.
The naughties are a neat idea but the film focuses more on just entertaining the kiddies, which i'll give them that, it'll work for them, but a good childrens' movie should entertain all ages, like Shrek or Toy Story, this just makes testicle jokes and expects everyone over 10 years old to be like "Heh, he said smurfberries and meant balls but the kids don't know that, this is swell" but really, that never happened.
Given it's way too long running time filled with talking ducks and whatnot, I think anyone who's not a child will be very bored by this film, aside from a few one-liners the story's boring, the Sony product placement is exhausting and it's overall just a waste of a bunch of talent.
If you were a fan of the TV series, the comics, the figures, or even the first movie, which wasn't as bad, you'll be disappointed by this film, i'd recommend some skipping of this film.
