Review of The Slumber Party Massacre (1982) by Ifiok O — 25 Oct 2013
It's very much a typical paint by numbers slasher movie, but for some reason, I don't mind that. The movie has that "from the 80s" charm to it, and it sort of made this worth a look. The two sisters who are both major characters in this lend themselves to be endearing, and you also have a killer who is very menacing and has little revealed about him (other than he's escaped prison, loves using power drills, and goes after pretty girls and anyone who gets in his way).
While it will never sit at the same table as most classic slasher horrors would, this one at least reserved a table close from it in the same room.
