Review of The Slammin' Salmon (2009) by Amber K — 18 May 2010
Genius film. Definitely an original all around. Quirky and witty and nothing like I expected from a broken lizard film. I loved Super Trooper but the broken lizard guys can be a little too crude for me at times.
I thought this film was great because it had terrific comedy without all the crudeness (which really makes for a wider audience). The characters in this film are original and so much fun to watch. Well written, acted and directed.
I loved the entire cast. Michael Clarke Duncan really impressed me in this role. All the broken lizard guys were amazing in their parts but my favorite (as always) is Steve Lemme. Cobie Smulders is great in this genre and she really does well in this performance.
Although the film is based around one night, it moves at a fast pace and really keeps your attention (which is always important to me). The comedy alone is well worth the watch. I loved this film!
