Review of The Slammin' Salmon (2009) by Sarah H — 07 Apr 2010
Another funny installment by the boys who brought you super troopers. In the same type of vein as 'Waiting' the whole film is takes place inside the Slammin Salmon - a posh fish restaurant that is owned by a violent and unpredictable Micheal Duncan Clarke. When he manages to lose an expensive bet with the Yakuza, he lets the staff know they have one night to raise the necessary money to pay off the bet...thus ensues the funny shennanigans the develop throughout the night as waiters and waitresses try desperately to keep the customers happy and raise the necessary cash for their boss.
As a Broken Lizard film, its pretty reasonable. There are a fair few Laugh Out Loud moments that give it just enough character to make it stick out from similar attempts. Overall a funny watch.
