Review of The Slammin' Salmon (2009) by Avtar R — 29 Apr 2010
Not bad at all. Not much of a star cast involved here, most of the actors in it most people wouldn't have heard of, apart from of course, Cobie Smulders who plays Robin on HIMYM. The story is about a restaurant that the heavyweight champion of the world owns, and he sets a huge amount of cash the restaurant has to earn in a night in order to survive.
The waiters are given incentives to sell the most expensive dishes on the menu, and the movie just circulates about the rivalry that generates between the waiters and how they try and out do each other and sell expensive items on the menu to the guests.
The movie was gripping from the beginning. It's not laugh out loud funny, but it's got good humor in it. I quite enjoyed it, all of you who're a fan of movies like "Waiting" would probably enjoy this one as well.
Good stuff.
