Review of The Slammin' Salmon (2009) by Ross B — 02 May 2010
I have started to notice a pattern when it comes to Broken Lizard movies. They make a good movie and then they follow it up with a movie that just isn't as good. First there was Super Troopers (great!) followed by Club Dread (not so much).
Then they made Beerfest (great!) and then they made this movie so you can guess what I am going to say. The movie just doesn't the same sort of irreverent fun that both Super Troopers and Beerfest had.
Michael Clarke Duncan though is pretty funny as a former boxing champ who runs the restaurant while seemingly being as dumb as a stump. Otherwise the really good laughs are few and far between. If you want to see a truly great Broken Lizard movie, rent the other two mentioned.
