Review of The Sky's the Limit (1943) by Paul D — 11 Apr 2010
Fred Astaire is a war hero returning home, and he slips away to avoid a ticker tape parade in his honor so he can have a quiet furlough. Then he meets Joan Leslie. Cute wartime musical, it isn't very original but it's well done.
Joan Leslie is a delight and Robert Benchley provides excellent support. Good score and some great songs. It was nominated for two Academy Awards, the song "My Shining Hour" and also the musical score.
