Review of The Skulls (2000) by D . — 07 Jul 2007
There are actors out there, sometimes they're in movies or shows and just because of that, they stand out and make the show what it is even if they're not the star.Joshua Jackson did that for Dawson's Creek, just like Brendon (Xander) did for Buffy. Now, Buffy and Dawson's blows, but those actors shine through.
The skulls is a movie where Joshua gets to lead, and be himself. This movie, while not amazing, is a very good and solid film. A fictional story based on believed to be true facts (The Skulls) Joshua gets mixed up in the wrong crowd and quickly has to try to take control of a political and powerful race to get his future back.
This movie (especially at the time) was filled with lesser known, but great actors like Steve Harris, William Peterson (CSI) and Christopher McDonald (Happy Gilmore). All great actors that just add to the film.
I found the story quick paced and hard to predict, leaving a well satisfied thrill throughout the film and a wonderful role by Mr. Jackson that has made me, since, seek out his talent in other roles. Enjoy!
