As much as I like Almodovar, this is not one my favorites by him, but as you can see, I'm still giving it 4 stars. That is because it is one of the most absurd revenge tales - in that Banderas near lost his mind in exacting a most extreme punishment.
I feel like Almodovar really gets the most out of the actors he casts and they are truly believable in these parts. Equal parts fascinating and horrifying, but certainly gives the viewer something to think about.
