Review of The Skin I Live In (2011) by Carl S — 27 Apr 2012
Bare with the first half. Seems a little slow and a bit too wacky and bizarre and 'different' to begin with. But from the half way point on, you discover the reason for all the madness. A real 'get-under-your-skin' horror film with plenty of class.
Just a few scenes let it down the way they were executed and could have been far more powerful, but the film has a twist that is a real shocker. The second half is a real pay-off. Think Silence Of The Lambs but less gritty.
Unique.
