Review of The Skin I Live In (2011) by Shawna G — 02 May 2012
Antonio Banderas' best film to date - a gripping and twisted tale which delves into the darkest corners of the mind. It's haunting yet human. The characters and the narrative flow together and grow together as the movie progresses.
Antonio Banderas plays a modern day 'mad scientist' and ultimately it is what he creates that destroys him - poetic in so many ways and reminiscent of the story of Frankenstein and the monster he creates.
