Despite the moments of sophomoric banter between Wiig and Hader, they play this move straight. They play some hard material (depression / suicide / rape) and they do it well. Ty Burrell also gets a chance to step outside his Modern Family goofy dad schtick and flex his acting muscles.
Good film with an appropriate conclusion.
