Review of The Skeleton Twins (2014) by Ian B — 15 Dec 2014
The Skeleton Twins is one of those rare, honest films that manages to balance drama and laughs extremely well. Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader show us not only their comedic genius, but also how brilliantly they can handle seriously dark material, and in the process make us empathize with some fairly unlikable characters.
This isn't a movie for everyone, and those expecting a straight-up comedy will be sorely disappointed, but if you can handle the heavy subject matter it's well worth it to see these two give the performances of their careers.
Highly recommended.
