Even if it contains some of the usual clichés that romantic comedies fall into, this film has another premise. That it's not about some clichéd characters but some really interesting characters with personal arc's played by Wiig and Hader.
They give actually really good performances as two siblings that have difficult lives and get depressed some times. It's uplifting and mostly works.
