Review of The Skeleton Twins (2014) by Zxsth — 15 Jun 2023
A darkly charming look at a particularly strife-ridden sibling relationship. While perhaps possessing some moments of slightly sub-par writing, the movie has plenty of heart. Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig give particularly strong performances, defying expectations based on their prior works and demonstrating a capacity for serious dramatic chops.
The Skeleton Twins is not necessarily an excellent movie, but it is very human, and possesses enough charm to carry you through to the end of the movie.
