Review of The Sixth Sense (1999) by Ricardo A — 19 Nov 2013
Looking at M.Night Shyamalan's recent movies you wouldn't think this is one of his, as the quality and intrigue in this chiller is higher than most of his recent movies put together. The Sixth Sense is a spine tingling movie, and it's powered by strong characters and a remarkable performance from Haley Joel Osment.
It is genuinely terrifying, the moment in the school is hide behind a cushion scary, and the twist ending is signature Shyamalan, and to this day it still continues to shock and leave audiences in awe.
The Sixth Sense is a perfect example of Shyamalan's talent, we just need him to conjure up something this good so he can get his career back on solid ground, after the poor attempts that were Last Airbender, Lady in The Water and so on.
