Review of The Sitter (2011) by Aaron J — 17 Apr 2012
The babysitting gig gone wrong scenario has been done time and time again and The Sitter brings nothing new to this comedy sub-genre. The babysitter in question is jobless slacker, Noah (Jonah Hill) who is forced to take a babysitting job watching three troubled and troublesome kids for an evening, instead of going to a party with a girl he likes (Ari Graynor).
Of course everything that can go wrong, does. I can't say The Sitter was without laughs but the laughs are so few and far between and the story is just so stale that those few laughs aren't nearly enough to make this an even mildly enjoyable flick.
Sam Rockwell also appears as an eccentric drug dealer.
