John C. Reilly and Joaquin Phoenix shine in two sides of the coin in a film that's got everything from gunfights to picturesque landscapes and dark humor to character focus. A more emotional and entertaining second half makes up for a lacking first, ultimately creating an enjoyable dark-comedy Western.
