I like the novel and the movie is not bad at all. As cheesy as it sounds (a 'magical' pair of jeans that fits all size and body-types?) the movie has depth and explores the troublesome and hormone-laden teenage years.
Good cast. Look at where the girls are now: America Ferrera (Globes, Emmy, SAG for Ugly Betty), Amber Tamblyn (Globes & Emmy nominations for Joan od Arcadia), Alexis Bledel (Gilmore Girls, Sin City) and Blake Lively (Gossip Girl).
