Review of The Simpsons Movie (2007) by Shayan S — 28 Jul 2015
As someone who wasn't the biggest Simpsons fanatic (cause reasons I wont explain), I would normally watch a couple of episodes here and there on TV, and The Simpsons Movie was luckily was one of those rare examples of watching a old episode of the show.
Yes people are right by saying this does feel like a extended unrated version of the older episodes and most of the plot is kind of recycled, but if the movie should be recognized for something, it's that: the humor is fresh and works in its own way, the animation is done beautifully for 2007, the voice acting and cameos are done hilariously and add to the humor, and the satire is done very well (even if half of it is dated).
Is it fantastic? No. Is it good though? Yep.
