Review of The Simpsons Movie (2007) by Alec B — 24 Jul 2013
For a movie that was made about 10 years after The Simpsons' most popular and creative years, its remarkably good. The approach was clearly to make a longer episode with a bigger budget, and that's probably the best thing its got going for it (meaning that its humor and characters are not altered too much to appease non-fans and dumb people).
The tape Marge makes for Homer is one of my favorite moments for those characters in this entire franchise.
