"AMERICA'S MOST YELLOW FAMILY".
- After 17 years of television, America's most popular animated family 'The Simpsons' got a movie of their own in 2007. They're yellow, they're recognizable and they were created by Matt Groening. Although the plot of the film is easy, fans of the series will most definitely love the humor that Homer, Bart and the rest of Springfield's finest citizens bring to the big screen. Bring out the doughnuts for an hour and a half of pure nostalgia.
At a church ceremony Grampa Abraham Simpsons has a prophetic vision in which he foresees the doom of Springfield. Nobody really pays attention to it, except for Marge. While Homer gets a pig (Spider-Pig) and Bart finds a fatherly figure in neighbor Ned Flanders, Lisa goes door to door to convince her fellow citizens not to pollute the lake. When Homer gets rid of the pig's feces he stores in a self-made silo by tossing it into the lake, the water gets a maximal toxin degree and the government led by president Schwarzenegger takes drastic measures: a large glass dome is put over Springfield so that everyone is trapped. Homer is blamed by his friends, who come over to Evergreen Terrace as an angry mob. Will the Simpsons escape and restore the damage down to their hometown?
