Review of The Simpsons Movie (2007) by Ezra T — 22 Feb 2016

Coming back to this movie almost 10 years later, I can admit what I was not willing to then. It stinks. Its jokes and satire are too obvious and you can see it coming a mile away. Its just as unfunny and forcing it the same way the show has been circa 2000-present.

I'm trying to understand what the critics were getting at when they said it "hearkens back to the shows glory days". Its just a sad reminder how far the Simpsons have fallen. What was once a brilliantly written and gut bustingly hilarious show, is now a caricature of its former self.
