Review of The Silence of the Lambs (1991) by Francisco R — 20 Jan 2013
The Silence of the Lambs is an outstanding film, it's intense, it's deep and it's also an unforgettable classic movie that everyone loved to watch. It's thrilling and it's highly entertaining, I had a great time watching it and it was an excellent experience, this movie defines masterpice in every way. If you haven't watch it, you are missing an outstanding classic that won 5 Oscars, it has an 8.7 on IMDb and it's also on IMDb's Top 250 List standing on the 24th place, this movie is really fantastic. I honestly belive that I'm able to watch it again because this is just a masterpice in every way, watch it right now if you haven't cause this is one movie that every movie fanatics can't miss. I highly recommend it. Terrific movie.
Jonathan Demme is the guy who directs this movie and he defenitly deserved his Oscar for Best Director, he did a 100% well job here. Jodie Foster takes the lead role and she was great at it, she sure deserved the Oscar for Best Actress, I can honestly say that this was the highlight of her career, from all her movies that I've watched, this was by far her best perfomance, Jodie is known from The Beaver, Contact, Carnage, Panic Room, Inside Man and some other movies. Anthony Hopkins, what can I say, well, I guess I can't say anything about him in The Silence of the Lambs cause he left me speachless, he had an outstanding perfomance and let me tell you that before I knew that he won the Oscar (Wich he deserded for 100% sure), I could already easily predict that he was at the Oscars, cause this perfomance doesn't escape from the Award respnsables eyes, Anthony is amazing here and from all of his movie that I've watched, this was defenitly his best perfomance, his best character and the best movie that he has ever been on, Anthony is known from Hannibal, Thor, Red Dragon, Alexander, Fracture and some other movies. Sow, even though the rest of the cast is fine, these are just the two only actor who are worth mentioning, cause they both had the best roles of their career and they both deserved their Oscar, this movie has truly outstanding perfomances by Foster and Hopkins, they were one of the reasons that made me love this movie.
Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster) is a young FBI cadet who is assigned to help with case to find the dissapiering of Chaterine Martin (Brooke Martin), who was kidnaped by "Buffallo Bill", a guy who murders his victims and skins them. To find that guy she will count with the help of Hannibal Lector (Anthony Hopkins), a guy who's in jail for doing the same kind of crimes that "Buffallo Bill". To enter the mind of a killer she must challenge the mind of a madman.(What I thought about the plot) I loved the plot and everybody did, it's a genius script and it's so good, that even Ted Tally (Who adapted the screenplay) won an Oscar. The script was fantastic and it worked 100% well here, trust me. Terrific plot.
Soundtrack, well, the soundtrack was great, this movie has also been nominated for an Oscarfor best sound and it deserved to be, but the osundtrack was just other wonder of the millions of wonders that this movie has got.
Besides all that, I am now going to tell you what I really thought about this movie. First of all, I loved it too much to be truth, when the movie started, by started, I mean, when it get to the main point, I already knew that I was going to watch the entire thing. The Silence of the Lambs provides you a fantastic experience and every movie lover has to watch this film, it brings you thrills, some scares, it leaves you speachless for the acting and it leaves you totally entertained and the movie itself is intense and deep, it's really a masterpiece work, I think you should go watch this movie right now if you haven't. When you watch this movie, you'll be no longer in the real word, you will be just stuck to the film and you'll forget that you're actully sitting on your couch, that's a real movie is, this is one of my favorite movies and I'm sure nobody disliked it. Overall, this is a fantastic movie, an unforgettable masterpiece classic, it has a terrific cast, a terrific plot, it has a great soundtrack and it's very entertaining. One of my favorite movies and one of the best classics ever. Terrific.
