A very unsettling movie to watch. Anthony Hopkins gives a masterful performance as the deranged and enigmatic Hannibal Lecter. Jonathan Demme also deserves a lot of credit as this is an exceptionally well-made film with an eerie atmosphere.
For those who seek intense psychological thrillers I would consider this the best in the genre. Sometimes I find it even too much for me to handle. (First viewing - In my early twenties).
