One of the most chilling, horrifying and disturbing movies ever made. Anthony Hopkins gives the best performance of his career as Hannibal Lecter. It's a role that defines him as an actor. You can't take your eyes off him even though it scares the hell out of you to watch him every second he is on screen.
Jodie Foster herself delivers one of her best performances as well, probably her most memorable. You root for her the whole way throughout the movie.
