Review of The Silence of the Lambs (1991) by Andrew V — 02 May 2014
Both a top-notch thriller and a fascinating, intimate character study as well. Demme's direction is perfect, and I was especially struck by a recurring motif of unnerving POV shots. Foster and Hopkins are brilliant.
Complex and twisted and thoughtful and darkly funny and terrifying and beautiful in all the right ways.
