Review of The Signal (2014) by David D — 23 Apr 2015
An excellent SF psychological thriller. The performances are excellent. The story and direction maintain a fine air of mystery and menace. The ending is as much a puzzler as that of 2001 A Space Odyssey and there are a bunch of unanswered questions about what was behind the events of the story, suggesting that the filmmakers are hoping for a sequel.
Unless that sequel gets made, the viewer may be left with a sense of incompleteness that some may find annoying and others may find a stimulus to thought and conversation. I enjoyed it very much.
