Review of The Shop Around the Corner (1940) by Fernando C — 24 May 2008
I though this was gonna be an ordinary Hollywood romance, but I was surprised at how serious and psychologically realistic it turned out to be. Both stars are great in their roles, especially James Stewart, and the supporting cast is wonderful as well.
Well, with a good script, good actors, good cinematography, it's a lovely romance, one of the best Hollywood classics I've seen.
