Review of The Shop Around the Corner (1940) by Dave S — 28 Nov 2008
Spoiler alert: There was a point towards the end where I thought there might be a big reversal, and it would be revealed that the woman had the upper hand in the relationship all along. I was wrong. So it's a good movie and all, but with all the mental games James Stewart plays with his leading lady here it gets borderline cruel more than once or twice.
