Review of The Shootist (1976) by Sterling T — 21 Nov 2007
Fin d'epoque Western. John Wayne acting with pathos, the end of John Bernard Books, of the Wild West, and of course the Duke himself. Showed that at his best he was top drawer actor, his best film- a true masterpiece.
Great support from Bacall and Stewart too.
