Amazing film that fills you with the wonders of a better life. The magnificent backdrop of Newfoundland sets a unprecedented feel of beauty and mystery. the Irish folk music was a treat and I really felt a comfort with the characters.

great casting. another film aced by spacy, I actually thought every actor in this movie was top notch. great directing. in my opinion a perfect film. I consider Lasse Hallstrom to be one of my favorite directors, especially due to his character building.

phenomenal writing, I can see why this story won a Pulitzer prize.
