Review of The Shipping News (2001) by J L — 26 May 2009
Newfoundland used to top my list of must-go places. now i'm not so sure. i'm sure its still one of the most scenic sites on earth (in the summer, which probably lasts all of 2 weeks. But Judi Dench's portrayal of a cold weather-beaten Newfoundland lass is a tad too convincing, stereotype or not.
