Review of The Shining (1980) by Grant H — 24 Jun 2013
Kubrick may have benefitted from a lighter touch at times in the film and the score occasionally overwhelms buts there's an undeniable eerie feeling throughout the movie. The Shining is a well crafted, well acted film that is launched into golden standard territory with iconcic visuals and a grandiose performance from Nicholson.
