Review of The Shining (1980) by John F — 16 Dec 2013
The Shining is a work of horrific and mind-bending art.
From the alluring soundtrack, to the patterns on the floor, Nicholson's performance, and the secrets and motives Kubrick had behind the film, The Shining is phenomenal.
Stanley Kubrick is the most visionary director. I mean that in a sense that Kubrick has his idea, his vision, and he works magic to get it on screen. You can see this through all his works, 2001, Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket, all unique and envisioned in the mastermind that is Stanley Kubrick.
