Review of The Shining (1980) by Andrew V — 09 May 2014
Jack Nicholson stars in a loosely adapted version of Stephen kings novel, and scores pretty high in the intimidati-o-meter. In every scene he is in, he always looked scary, even in scenes that weren't meant to be scary.
Also, the environment, thanks to kubricks angle shots, he has concocted a surreal scary environment that is bound to make you feel uncomfortable. Bottom line: while I'll admit I didn't find it too scary(due to the fact that it was made a long time ago, that has something to do with it), I did like the movie, though I may never see it again.
