A masterpiece of horror cinema history. "The Shining" is strange, a slow-burning, step by step haunting and disturbing your mind till it blows and your mouth gaped. Stanley Kubrick's direction and Jack Nicholson's outstanding performance bring this film to high level and hard to matched and put it to be a standard for modern horror film.
At last, The Shining is the greatest psychological horror ever made and I'm convinced that credit never switch to another film for long long time.
