It may be unfaithful to Stephen King's beloved novel and disliked by audiences at its time but The Shining is without a doubt a great film that will leave chills down your spine due to Jack Nicholson's performance and the haunting atmosphere and world that Stanley Kubrick created within' the Overlook Hotel.
