The Shining is a timeless classic and is the perfect example of horror. It has intense and suspenseful, yet also creepy and chilling scenes. It has an especially strong performance from Jack Nicholson and great acting in general (besides Chelly Duvalle's part).
The Shining to this day remains as one of the great horror films of the 20th century.
