The shining is one of the best movies I've ever seen Stanley Kubrik creates a great scenario where you can really feel the tension all movie long also without knowing what is going to happen next.
The acting of Jack Nicholson is absolutely amazing, the facial expressions he uses really make you believe that he is completely out of his mind and adding that to the acting of Shelley Duvall, who makes you sympathize with her character since her first scene, you get an astonishing work between these two actors.
The movie catches you from the moment it starts, you expect everything to go wrong for the characters and you start to doubt about what is real and what is a hallucination created by Jack, for a movie that lasts almost two hours and a half it goes very fast and you don't get bored, this is a must see.
